Animal Crossing, like any simulation game, requires skill in multi-tasking, as there are so many different aspects to the game that should not be ignored. It may be helpful to list tasks that should be performed on a daily basis, but the very first thing that you should do on any day is to determine whether it is an ‘Open Day’ or not. . . What Is An Open Dayy?? . An Open Day is a day when a random Special Visitor may appear in your Town. Weekend days are not Open Days, as you will have Lyle and K.K. Slider in town on Saturdays and Joan in town on Sunday mornings. You cannot have more than one Special Visitor in Town at any given time. Provided that you have scheduled Redd’s appearance in your Village through Lyle, you will have one weekday that is not an Open Day, and that will be the day that Redd is scheduled to appear. Apart from these days, all other weekdays constitute ‘Open Days’, which means that they are days when Dr. Shrunk, Katrina, Gracie, Gulliver, Pascal, Saharah or Wendell may appear. . It is possible that Wild World operates on a weekly basis and that in fact, all Special Visitors are ‘loaded’ into the game on Saturday morning which is the same time that you are given the option of deciding upon the day for Redd’s visit for the next week. Two random Special Visitors therefore would be ‘loaded’ into the game before the start of the week. . Of all these Special visitors, it is only Gulliver that poses any problem, as his appearance is a very brief one, consisting solely of the moment when his UFO flies across the top screen of your DS. I therefore recommend a simple process of elimination on each ‘Open Day’ to determine whether there is any chance of seeing Gulliver. Do this by searching for any other Special Visitors. . The easiest Special Visitors to find are Gracie, Katrina and Pascal. Go first to the Plaza in front of the Town Hall to discover if either Gracie or Katrina are in your town. If you see neither Gracie’s automobile nor Katrina’s tent, you can eliminate them from the list. Next, go to the beach and search the entire length of the shore for Pascal. If you do not find him, you can cross another Special Visitor from the list. Now you will be obliged to search your entire town for Dr. Shrunk, Saharah and Wendell. If you find any one of these Visitors, you will be able to cross Gulliver from your list. If none of these Visitors are to be found, you may wish to watch the heavens carefully for Gulliver’s UFO. . Gulliver’s appearances DO follow a schedule whenever he appears in your Town. If you turn on your DS at 6.00 a.m., you find no other special visitors in your town and Gulliver is scheduled to appear, you will see him fly across the sky before 6.40 a.m. Obviously, he can appear on any ‘Open Day’, but if it is Friday and you still have not had two random Special Visitors and you find no one else in your town that day, Gulliver WILL appear! . You will have two random Special Visitors in your town each week. Redd and K.K. Slider are NOT random visitors in this sense. . You can go to your Town Gate to ask Booker if he is aware of anything ‘new’, as he will mention the presence of most of the Special Visitors that come to your town. I prefer not to do this as you may miss Gulliver if he is due to appear. You can miss floating gifts if you enter a building and in the same way, you can miss a chance to shoot down Gulliver’s UFO. The real problem is that it takes over a minute to enter and exit a building. If, as you are entering a building, you see Gulliver’s UFO in the sky, you will find that he has gone by the time you are able to exit. It is better, therefore, to search for any Special Visitors yourself. You can destroy any new weeds at the same time, thus fulfilling that task for the day. Incidentally, Booker cannot predict Gulliver’s appearance, nor will he even recognise Gulliver’s presence when he and his UFO are on the ground in your village! . N.B. Bear in mind the ‘glitch’ in Wild World that sometimes prevents you from seeing an Animal or Visitor on the screen sometimes even when that Animal or character is present. If you find no one, you may wish to save, quit and reload your game (without meddling with the clock at all). There are days when no Special Visitor comes, but if you are concerned about missing a Visitor, it does not hurt to save, quit and reload once in order to make certain that no Special Visitor is present in your town. . After searching for any Special Visitors, you can perform your other daily tasks: . 1. Go to your postbox for any letters that have arrived; 2. Pay attention to the time! a. gifts float across the sky randomly at specific times of the day between 8.04 a.m. and 3.54 p.m.; be aware of those times; all of the times end in the digit 4 (although I never have seen one before 10.04 a.m.); and b. Turnip prices change at noon, so make certain that you ask Tom for the price of Turnips both before and after noon; and c. Some special Visitors to your town, like Joan, only will be found from 6.00 a.m. to noon. Joan is only in your village on Sundays, but Pascal will be found on a spit of land at the beach on a random morning so it is important to visit the beach before noon if possible. d. Certain varieties of fish and insects can be caught only at certain times of the day; if you are trying to complete your Insect or Fish Collection, make certain that you are aware of any special conditions with respect to time, season or weather; all fish and insect information is listed in the appropriate section of this guide. 3. Go to Tom Nook’s shop to see all the new items; if any item that is being offered is missing from your Catalogue, buy it; while there, ask for the Stalk market update. 4. Go to the Able Sisters’ shop to see all the new items; if any item that is being offered is missing from your Catalogue, buy it; speak to Sable if you wish to hear more of the fascinating history of the Able sisters. 5. Gather all foreign fruit from the trees and sell it to Tom Nook; 6. Walk through the entire village, including the shore of the sea to see if any special visitors are present, after speaking to Booker at the Chequepoint for any news; 7. Make certain that you speak to as many Animals as possible; at least wave to an Animal if you do not wish to speak to him/her. 8. Write letters to every Animal at least once every two days, and attach a gift to each letter; 9. Be aware of weather conditions; if it is raining or snowing, try to catch a Coelacanth fish. 10. Shake any trees for bells, fruit or furniture; with respect to native fruit, shake it from the trees even if you do not want to collect it immediately; once you shake the tree, you allow more fruit to grow; it is best to shake a tree as soon as fruit appears for maximum harvest yield; 11. Gather all seashells and sell them to Tom Nook, even if they are not particularly valuable; otherwise, use the least valuable as gifts to attach to letters; there is a better chance that more valuable shells will wash ashore if you have collected all shells; 12. Search the Recycling Bin for items; sometimes you can find rare and valuable items there! 13. Visit Animals in their homes if possible; if any Animal in your village is ill, he/she will be housebound and you will need to bring medicine. I think that the quicker you discover that an Animal is ill and administer medicine, the sooner that Animal will recover. An Animal can require up to a week’s worth of medicine on occasion. 14. Read the Birthday Calendar to see if it is the Birthday of any Animal in your village. If so, visit the Birthday Animal at home and bring him/her a gift; 15. Hit all Rocks with your shovel to find the ‘Money’ rock for the day; you can gain as much as 4500 Bells from this rock if you are quick. . N.B. Once you have amassed a fair quantity of Bells in your Savings Account and have upgraded your house to the maximum size, your priorities may change. For example, you may not wish to harvest your fruit as quickly as possible. Fruit on a tree will not rot. Fruit on the ground will not rot either, but it does occupy space and it will not allow you to have a ‘Perfect Town’. If you do not need the money from the fruit harvests, simply leave the fruit on the tree.

I would have been able to go new york trip with school (30 people got chosen, including me!) and i turned it down bc id rather have a laptop. It costed £900 to go anyway ($1800 in Usa) and including £300 spending money ($600) then thats £1200 ($2400)!!
